Dr. Abdur Rehman Jami has been a Professor  of Applied Mathematics and Statistics for over three decades. He has taught classes that range from school level through to university level. Starting his university life he gained a B.Sc. Degree and went on to master in Applied Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan back in 1991. While his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics was earned in 2008 from the United States of America, he also earned his B.Ed. 

In 1992, he started his career as a Flight Lieutenant in the Pakistan Air Force as a SPSSC Officer (Special Purposes  Service Commission) in the Education Branch at the boarding colleges – PAF College Sargodha and PAF College Lower Topa Murree Hills. The product of the colleges is the GDP (Fighter Pilots) and Aeronautical Engineers (Officers, Chief of the Air Staff, Joint Chief of the Armed Forces of Pakistan). In 2001, he went on to join the International School of Choueifat as a Mathematics Teacher for a couple of years.

Dr. Abdur Rehman has extensive experience in working with various university courses, and school curricula (British, American, IB & others) and as a Head of the Department of Mathematics in the UAE. He is also a trained IBDP Examiner for HL, SL Mathematics with IBDP Examining Experience.

He is the author of the book “Beauty & Mathematics” and other publications are on the horizon. Beauty & Mathematics is an acclaimed book based on nature and reality. In this book, he has explored many things related to our present and the life after in the light of Mathematics. He discusses how life is beautiful in the eyes of Mathematics, and how God geometries, symmetries and beautifies; and goes on to discuss how human beings take advantage of their gifts and abilities. He has recently got five of his papers published in applied mathematics, General Relativity, Relativistic Astrophysics, Mathematical Physics, Numbers and Gravitational Theories, further highlighting the range of his abilities as well as his interests. Presently, his article describing his invention “Pomegranate Fibonacci Numbers” is in the process of peer reviewing for a publication, along with other articles of his which have been submitted for publication.

Dr. Abdur Rehman Jami has worked in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Pakistan. He currently resides in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
